Established by Eclipse Basketball over 30 years ago, The Plaza Lights Showcase hosts 50+ teams each year with Blue Star Basketball Evaluators & Media in attendance.  This event will run in coordination with the Rising Blue Star camp located nearby.

General Information

Plaza Lights Showcase schedulers ONLY use information provide in our online registration system under your “team info” area.  Verbal or emailed information to Plaza Lights Showcase administrators are NOT used as part of this process.  Please plan accordingly.

LEVEL OF PLAY – Plaza Lights Showcase places teams into pools based on the information provided in this area of your team account.  If left blank, Plaza Lights Showcase reserves the right to put your team at any level needed to balance the schedule.

Eclipse does not require teams/players to register or play according to age. Eclipse uses graduation year to determine the age/divisions in which teams participate.

SPECIAL REQUESTS – Information must be provided by the time below (*see Schedule Timeline.)  It is not Plaza Lights Showcase responsibility if you are not happy with your schedule if no special request information was entered in the system.  We do not guarantee 100% that we can accommodate these requests BUT 90% of the time we are able to schedule accordingly.

Eclipse has a special request fee of $50 for teams wishing to not play early games to start a given tournament. When making your initial registration/payment you can add the fee to the entry total to ensure your teams request is made & specify the event in the SPECIAL REQUEST area. If payment is not received Eclipse is not required to accommodate your team’s special request.

All teams must be prepared to provide one scorekeeper for every game to sit at the official table. One person will work the table clock and the other will work the official scoresheet. Teams will be provided ONE weekend pass bracelet at the club coach check in table to be given to this individual at the start of the event. If teams fail to provide an individual at the table, they have 2 options:

  1. Forfeit the game & pay the $100 penalty fee that will go directly to the opponent
  2. Pay the other team the prorated admission amount to provide a 2nd person at the table on their behalf. That team must then also pay Plaza Light Showcase the amount of the bracelet provided at check in.

Team Roster – Data Entry

All roster information for players must be entered into the Plaza Lights Showcase roster system by midnight 5 days prior to the event start of the online Plaza Lights Showcase administrator will be fined $50 by Plaza Lights Showcase.  The fin & the official roster must be received at check-in before the team’s first game.
